Busy
So I've fallen victim to the blog conundrum. See, when I'm not busy, nothing is going on, and I don't have anything to write about. But, when I'm busy, and have exciting (?) things to talk about, then, well, I'm busy and don't have time to write. It's another one of life's small annoyances. Things have been good though. My roomie's boyfriend is gone, and we've been having a great time. You know, it's funny, but I didn't realize how much of his crap I put up with until I didn't have to put up with it anymore. So it's been nice. I redecorated the bathroom. I got a pretty stripey blue and green and yellow shower curtain, blue green and yellow towels, a new towel bar with three little cubbies on the top, and these blue non-stick fishies for the tub, and a green bathmat. I even found little blue fishy-shaped candles for the cubbies. It's very happy, and not too girly. If my roomie had her way, everything would be pink and red. This is not going to happen. We have cleaned up a lot, since that idiot's stuff is out of the way now. It's really only a two-person space. And it's a good thing I have only half a person's worth of stuff, because Emily has a person and a half's worth of stuff. Which is another rant. She's only a year older than me, how she managed to collect so much more shit than me is completely mind-boggling. Especially since she moved to St. Louis only 3 years ago, and didn't bring much stuff then. I never thought I could be a teacher because I never thought I had any patience. But I have come to realize that I actually do have patience. I won't tolerate someone being disrespectful or mean, but dammit, I do put up with quite a lot of little shit from people in my life. I'm not even on my drugs anymore, and haven't been for a year now, so it must actually be me that is like this. Chris thinks I put up with him well, but I don't think that's true. I think that I actually like his personality and habits, and don't really find them annoying. So that I couldn't really consider "putting up with". He however, does seem to put up with me well, and let's face it, I'm kind of an acquired taste, so this is no small feat.
