(no subject)
So, the last few weeks before school. Sigh.
Well, I'm trying to make the best of them. I've been working out a lot...if I can't go to school tanned, then I'm going to try to go toned...and that sounds really stupid...ha. I've also bought the last two books of summer reading I have to fall asleep to at Reed Books. (At some point, I'm taking everyone I know there...the books I got were really cool, old, and three bucks. And Reed Books has EVERYTHING. Posters, books, memorbilia, etc. It kicks ass.)
Ad sales...I'm trying. I really am. I've made a million calls (almost all to no avail) and I've dropped off information at Gus's Hot Dogs...I'm going to try and hit realtors I know. Like my cousin. And middle-aged women in my neighborhood. I hope it works.
Hmm...what else? Oh yeah. No-tax week! Hurrah! I'm going with my mom and sister (not so hurrah, shopping with them is a complete nightmare) for new clothes for school. I've recently dug through my closet and found that most of the clothes are wayyy too small, or worn out, or I'm just sick of looking at them.
So...I guess I'm KIND OF looking forward to school. At least I'll be able to get away from the whole Fam-damnily. New clothes, I'll be healthier and more organized, etc...it'll be like a fresh start, I suppose...
I've also bought new music!! I've bought the first Hole album (Do you have it Katie? Because if you don't I'm going to burn it for you, along with Thom Yorke and Amnesiac as soon as the whole CD-burning thing doesn't keep screwing up...) and I've also bought some Eels. LOVE.

Ok, last thing, and then I'll stop typing (I know I'm boring you guys, but this IS my journal sort-of, so I guess I should be able to type whatever I want). I've recently thought of how many nicknames I have...it's almost like a have a different nickname for everyone who knows me...I guess I started to think about this after my uncle Hamp started to calll me "Scoop" (he was listening to me call people for ads and he thought I sounded like a little reporter or something...i don't know. I suppose "Scoop McClusky" is pretty funny sounding...)
