Feministing.com has saved my life

As high as my high was to have Obama elected, I have my ups and downs still in terms of the anti-choice measures failing, yet once again watching states pass anti-queer legislation. I plan on attending the national protests (In the Cities, we are having two different protests, one in the Mini-apple, the other in St Paul). While I never had the right to begin with in regards to the states I've lived in, I can't imagine what it is like to have a right and then have it be taken away. Far worse then Prop 8, I think is the newly passed legislation in Arkansas which deprives a couple to adopt. How cruel, to both parents and children!! I am totaling digging on the outrage that the failure of prop 8 has sparked within the queer community nationwide and hope that this is the beginning of a much broader, national movement, akin to the queer activism in the 60s and 70s!!

Lastly, I have become addicted to feministing.com. Never before has a website inspired me. Every time I visit the site (some 5x plus a day!) I find something new and completely upsetting, interesting or spirit-lifting. I never know what I am going to find but, damnit, I love feminists.
