basket of clay heads
working with some paper clay and polymer clay today. Have done minamal sculpting of doll heads.. tried using a styrofoam ball to apply the polymer over, didn't quite work, I guess there is a reason why I always see foil balls as the core. The heads cracked open, in quite a cool way and instanly came up with the idea of the Scalp Sisters.. Scarlett and Scelflesh. I have been working on heads all day, trying to figure out which medium I like better, paper clay or polymer. I also have a day of the dead inspired dollie in the works...She is mostly cloth, but havent decided if I am going to use some polymer for her arms and legs.
