Justin Bieber likes Ms. Pacman, or The Best Shift Ever
I haven't updated in a while, and I'm going to try and do it more now that school's in and I have more time to be bored, but this is something the internet must know!
I work at the cheap theatre in town, and it was a slow night. Cause, seriously, who goes to a movie on Wednesday night? And I was working in concession, but had to go out to box for a bit. When I came back, there was a kid with Bieber hair standing in front of my till. 'Ohshit, is the the legit JBieb? I heard he was around the city today. Y'know what. Idk who you are, the sign says closed.' So I proceeded to wash my hands and get my apron on, while speculating more and more whether it was Bieber. He went to the other girl's till and asked for four loonies in exchange for quarters. Her heart stopped when she looked up and saw him. He and his entourage (a skanky looking chick who is apparantly his girlfriend?; a big black bodyguard; and a couple of other guys; all of them taller than him) went into the arcade where JBieb went and played Ms. Pacman for a while. We giggled uncontrollably a bit. One of the entourage sampled the slushies while the bodyguard guy came up and asked me if there was an ice cream joint nearby.
'Uh, yeah, there's a Dairy Queen just down Albert.'
'Down Albert? Uhmmm...'
'It's like, a couple blocks that way'
'Oh okay,' he said, walking over to the arcade, 'Wanna go to Dairy Queen?'
And so the Bieb made it to DQ, where many people presumably collapsed into fangirly goo. It wan't busy at work, so we spent the time speculating about what movie he went to, and how freaking tiny he is! I said that he probably went to Ramona and Beezus, cause that would be lulzy. Others said Karate Kid (cause his song's in the credits) or Grown-Ups. I texted my sister to alert her to the presence of Bieber. She got it just as she got home after work, so came and hung out for a couple hours to catch a glimpse of JB. They came back, and the bodyguard bought the tickets and they went straight to the theatre with their ice cream. I overheard JB jokingly threaten to break up with the chick as they went in. We found out that they seriously went to Ramona and Beezus! \o/ Go me! I figured it was cause he was meeting up with Selena Gomez later and wanted something to talk about. :P
We decided to close a bit slower, so we'd still be around when they came out. We weren't very good at it, but the movie got out pretty quick and we were lurking when they left the theatre.
There was this one drunk guy wandering about, and after the Biebster left, he wandered over to us.
'K, you know it's my birthday? And I'm pretty drunk? I have this daugher, she's about this old -' He stuck his hand out to indicate her height, '- and she makes me watch these shows. Was that Justin Bieber?'
And because he had already left, we could tell him that he did, indeed, see Justin Bieber.
'Oh good, so I'm not totally fucked!'
The crazy thing about this is, we were just talking earlier about how none of us are serious Bieber fans, or Bieber fans of any sort really, but we still all had mild fangirl reactions to him. It's just that it's rare enough that celebrities come through the area, even for concerts and stuff, that to see someone, anyone!, was insane. Especially to see them at the damn cheap theatre!
