Okay. So I bought fresh sardines for dinner. (Don't look at me like that. Just don't, okay?) I like the canned ones and was intrigued to cook fresh ones. Only thing is I have to gut them. I was feeling all bad ass and shit earlier, and truth is, I've always wanted to learn how to gut and clean a fish, so's I could catch and eat my own.
Thing is, now that the moment of truth has arrived and I'm about to handle them? I'm terrified. I've never even dissected a frog in school or anything like that.
It's just me and the internet, the Joy of Cooking, and a sharp knife against the sardines. I kinda wish I had someone who'd done this here to show me how.
