Whew!
I never thought I would generate so much paper! When I was recently in a college certificate program (2002 - 2004) many of my classes involved Graduate level coursework.
When I moved to my current location I packed everything into standard packing boxes, labeling everything. All this stuff would have remained boxed, except I need to make room for my car, and my Father's vintage 40 Chevy.
So I spent my day off from work (one of the few I get) to go through these boxes; I've now reduced 18 boxes by seven. Books I no longer need have been donated to a local library, and they'll sell those books to raise money for the library.
As for the papers, I'm keeping one copy of each and all the rest have been shredded. In fact, 90% have been shredded and I think I'm dulling the blades of the machine.
But, I've made a dent! I can see the garage cleaned for both vehicles by Easter Sunday.
