Way back circa 1860-61 Abraham Lincoln got elected president with virtually no votes from the entire Southern region. And, subsequently, the South seceded from the Union and the rest is history. But, in the Constitution, it more or less clearly states that the states have the right to act against an oppressive government, i.e., a government that doesn't represent them. Which makes sense, that's why that whole thing called the American Revolution came about. And the South is generally condemned as wrong.
Only mild relevance, but that's what I got reminded of this morning.
I do think it's pretty damn funny though. Take that Micheal Moore, Vote for Change, moveon.org, etc., etc., etc.
Maybe if the Democratic party had chosen a candidate other than a droopy-faced shitbanger they would have emerged victorious.
The grim reality is I really don't care. Maybe that will change when I'm older and have to start paying annual taxes, or get drafted to go die in Iraq, or get spit on by dirty Europeans. Or when any of the problems there supposedly are start affecting me. Why should I care until then?
Okay, I'm done. I'm not ever getting into politics again unless I have a good reason.
