Stade Rennais
I went to a football match Rennes vs. Sochaux last night with my German friends among other people. It was awesome, and better than the first time I went. There were more people in the stadium, and we "sat" in the crazy section. We were right on front of the team crier or whatever his title might be. So throughout pretty much the whole game, the entire section was singing chants about how great the stade Rennais is, how they are going to win, and how cool it is to be Breton. They fans are insane, and it's cool they so strongly support their team, but it appeared they were genuinely angry and pissed off if the opposing team did anything at all that might bring them closer to scoring a goal. Every time any player from the sochaux team played well, the crowed got pissed and flipped the team off; no bad calls or anything, just the other team doing as they should. During penalty kicks or anything, everyone flipped em off and swore at them. It's as if the other team was managed by the devil himself, and it was a match of good vs. evil. We won of course, 2-1, but played pretty badly. I don't even know anything about soccer, but I could tell that was pretty obvious. Now le Stade Rennais is number 3 in the coupe de France. Go Roazon!
