broke like photoisland
Got some respite from the construction side gig, as they didn't need me today. Sucks not getting the money from it, but it was nice to not add any new gouges into my hands. Got the yard squared away, so tomorrow I may build a new TV stand or get started on that webpage I'm supposed to make.
My mom is visiting and won't stop watching HGTV and Changing Rooms and such, and between it and the remodeling work I've been doing, I'm dying to start my own project. I wouldn't spend the money, but the existing TV stand (also homemade by myself and a cabinetry friend - it's essentially a formica'ed box with shelves) is making ominous creaking noises.
This is the preliminary plan:
but the TV is 200 lbs., so even using 4x4's, it'll still be tricky. May need to make the sides of the center section into right triangles instead. We'll see.
Maybe it'll look groovy enough that I can sell them...
and monkeys might fly out outta my butt.
