My Weekend!!
Hey all!!! What's up? I just have to say, "Go, Jamie, it's your birthday, go, Jamie!!" And for the one day out of the year, it's true. I am a year older as of 3:30 this am. Got sung to at Friday's last night! Sweet!! Then I went to an AMAZING concert!!! It was Lonestar. Ging and Gus I'm sure you know them, for everyone else they are an amazing country group whose 2 signature songs you probably have at least heard of (or have heard the slightly 'poppy' versions that were released to non-country stations)--"Amazed" and "I'm Already There." The guys ROCKED!!!! IT WAS SO GOOD!!!!! The show was one of my mom's b-day presents to me and we both loved it!! "I'm Already There" was INCREDIBLE live!! I have never seen Lonestar in concert before. They also have a new hit out there, which again, Ginger and Gus might know called "My Front Porch Looking In." Great song!!! It went number 1 for them recently, but I only heard it on their greatest hits album that I picked up when it came out a couple of weeks ago. That's because we don't have a !@#$%^&* country station in my area any more :( So I'm "out of the loop" when it comes to new country music. Anyway the band was great and funny! They came into the audience and sat in people's seats. And the lead singer, Richie McDonald, even took a woman's digital camera up on stage with him and took close ups of all the band members for her!! It was cool!!! They were able to do that because the venue I saw them at is really small--about 2500 seats and the people are right there by the stage! It was AMAZING!!!
So I got home kind of late after the show and I was tired cause I had a boooooooring class this weekend that was Friday night, Saturday and Sunday. Thank goodness it's over though! 3 more credits!! Woo hoo!!! I'm now at 33 above my Master's!! Anyway, all I wanted to do when I got home was crawl into bed and sleep. Unfortunately a frickin' bug thwarted my efforts!!!! We have these little beetles in our house. We have NO idea where they come from but they are always there in the summer. They fly around and bounce off the walls and are hard to kill. Anyway, one was in my room last night and it kept me up!! When I hear those things clicking off the walls I freak out!! This one was right above my bed and flying around. I couldn't get it! I saw it land, but then it flew away before I could get out of bed. Then I thought it was gone, but it came back! Ultimately I fell asleep around 1am. And I had to get up at 5:45. Yuck!!! Stupid bug!!! I still didnt' get it by the way, so it'll probably haunt me tonight, too! Anyway, gotta run! Hope you all had good weekends (minus bugs ), too! We finally have sun today for my birthday!! Woo hoo!! Talk to you all soon!
