I LOVE Chloe!!! Are we going to see more of her??? Your characterisation of Gil is dead-on - this is exactly how he'd be with a child. I can see this whole scene unfolding in front of my eyes, even as I read it.

For some reason (could be my computer) the last paragraph of the story is repeated - the one that starts with Gil saying "Of course" I think LiveJournal must have had a hiccup. :)
