This entire fic has been an absolute romp and it was definitely a joy to read. Such a beautiful, beautiful story that fic both Buffy and CSI so well. Thank you for sharing it.

And, please, tell me that Heather Graham is indeed who it sounds like? I would love to see a sequel involving Gil learning magic from Lady Heather! ::evil grin::

Finally! Do you know how long I've been waiting for someone to mention Lady Heather? I was beginning to think it was too subtle.

Any-hoo...glad you enjoyed the boys as much as they enjoyed each other.

I think I thought of that, too. I'm not sure.

Anyway, sorry I didn't comment on the first draft, but this was beautiful. I loved the goodbye, so bittersweet. I cannot wait to see what else you may have in store for this universe.

At this point, I plan a short fic up next to deal with the problem raised at the beginning of S6 Buffy, a longer fic dealing with mid S7 Buffy and a second longer fic post Grave Danger.

Dunno when I'll find the time, but I'm sure it will all get done.

This has been just a great story, I'm just sad it's over. I'm all excited about the idea of sequels and I am prepared to offer generous bribes to ensure that they get written! I'm definately adding this to my list of stories to read again (and again and again...etc. etc.)

Two of my favorite fandoms togther, *sigh*, I'm a happy girl...

Oh, please tell me Heather Graham is Lady Heather. LOL That would be fantastic.

I enjoyed this story so much! It was all so great and fun and I looked forward to every new part.

Yes, Mrs. Graham is Lady Heather. I looked for evidence of a canon last name for her, but I couldn't find one.

Thanks for letting me know you enjoyed this.

I said it before, but I'll reiterate: I'm a happy ending whore. Rather unreasonably so in most cases. But I recognize that not everything ends with the happy couple riding off into the sunset, and when that's the case I hope I'll get something like this. It pushed all the right buttons, hurt - but not too much and in the right ways - and was just sweet enough.

I'll miss having this to look forward to.

The Joss-verse is a cruel 'verse, and if I'd been writing purely in a BtVS style, the relationship would have ended with Gil being killed by a demon or turned into a vampire.

[pauses to shoot another rabid plot bunny]

Fortunately for everyone, I like to keep things as close to canon as possible when I write crossovers, so Gil survived in his own lonely fashion.

That said, I'm glad this worked for you. I'm always worried that I'll end up over the top when it comes to angsty and/or sentimental scenes.
