I think that the thing I enjoyed the most of this entire arc was the fact that you kept the characters IN character. I didn't read a line and cringe, thinking Gil would NEVER say that. Or Greg. Although there's not much Greg wouldn't say, though that's another story entirely. ^_^

The speech patterns were great, the reactions are what you'd expect them to be, and you stayed so true to Gil and Greg that it was a true joy to read. Combine that with your talent at spinning a good tale, and you've ended up with a first class work. Go YOU! I can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve next.

A tour de force of CSI slash fiction. Excellent work, and I hope you'll write more soon. "Of Life and Living" has been a continual examination of not just the relationships you established, but of the human state of being, and it shows how thorough your comprehension of it is. This piece - from start to finish - was excellent, and totally worth the wait.
