And Carol... I'm really beginning to like her. Which is surprising, since she's an original female character with all the makings of a Mary Sue...but she's not. She's a real character, one that you made and she's just fantastic. I hope to see more of her in future chapters. You know, when Gil and Greg are all happy together again. ;)

I love that Gil is so much more deeply affected by their fight than Greg. It makes sense to me, because I've always seen Grissom as the more emotionally retarded one of the pair; even though he doesn't show it; perhaps *because* he doesn't show it. This just felt very...*real*.Gil's an idiot-savant when it comes to emotional maturity. He actually understands people quite well, is remarkable intuitive, and is even pretty good at knowing what he's feeling himself. What he doesn't do, though, is ask, "why ( ... )
