Just so you know, as long as the next few chapters keep moving in the same wonderful direction (and by that I mean Gil getting a clue and making things with Greg better) you will be forgiven for the heart wrenching tearfest that this one and the last has been. Just so you know.

Love it, love it, Love. It. Remember though, Gil broke them but someone had better fix them. ;)

I so need a Greg/Gil icon.

Well, here's hoping the next chapter lives up to your expectations. :-)

*Wipes away tears*

I can't really think of anything profound enough to say that would live up to this, so I'll just say thank you.

This one especially touched me on a personal level. I was crying so hard that mom barged in and frantically asked me if I was okay.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! You are beautiful.

This is great, just great. I especially loved Carol in this section, she's really turning into a fabulous OC. Can't wait for the next part.

I love that Gil is so much more deeply affected by their fight than Greg. It makes sense to me, because I've always seen Grissom as the more emotionally retarded one of the pair; even though he doesn't show it; perhaps *because* he doesn't show it. This just felt very...*real*.

And Carol... I'm really beginning to like her. Which is surprising, since she's an original female character with all the makings of a Mary Sue...but she's not. She's a real character, one that you made and she's just fantastic. I hope to see more of her in future chapters. You know, when Gil and Greg are all happy together again. ;)

Thanks so much. I really have worried quite a bit about Carol being a Mary Sue, since she does, as you said, have all the makings. I really only intended her to be a periferal character, someone to fill in an empty spot on night shift and to pair with Warrick in order to leave Gil and Greg as the only ones who were conspicuously unattached. But sometimes, stories have lives of their own; I just noticed that she had the scars on her hands, and it all kind of went from there.

This just felt very...*real*.Gil's an idiot-savant when it comes to emotional maturity. He actually understands people quite well, is remarkable intuitive, and is even pretty good at knowing what he's feeling himself. What he doesn't do, though, is ask, "why ( ... )

I love your Gil, I love your deep analysis of his thoughts and acts and I like the plot of this more than I can express!
Great, just great!
