Yeah - feeling even better today. If the day job isn't, well, too bad, who knows what else I might accomplish?

Thanks. I'm glad you liked it.

I must admit I *love* Zoot Sims, and I really think they should let Grissom expand his musical horizons. And jazz can be so much more complex than classical. . .

I admit I tend to think of Grissom as more musically omnivorous -- he listens to a bit of everything, although he leans toward the dead white guys, admittedly. I can easily see him also enjoying jazz, most definitely. (Although -- please forgive me, but I can't resist -- jazz more complex than classical music? For all that I'm a big old jazz fan, and with respect...no.)

*taps foot and glares* It just HAD to be angsty, didn't it?

It was still beautiful...wonderfully poetic.

Uhmmm - yeah. It's kind of what I write. For the most part I'm a happy person, and I love what I'm doing. I'm living my dream - and not a lot of people can say that. But I still have bad things going on in my life - and some real shit from when I was younger. I'm the only one who can drain the poison from my soul - and I do it through writing. 90% of what you'll see from me is going to have angst I'm afraid.

Glad you liked this anyway. I love the playing with words that fanfic allows.

If the birthdate on your userinfo is accurate - part of why I write as well as I do is because I have two decades more experience than you do. I've written all my life. I don't remember a time when I didn't want to be a writer. A writer writes. And if you want to be better, that's what you need to do. Everyday. (PS. I grew up in Mpls.)

That man couldn't admit to his feelings even if it were the only way to prevent a killing spree.

Word.

Ouch, that rocked. I love the coldness of Warrick's thoughts, and how relentlessly he judges and categorizes Grissom, and takes and gives anyway. How nothing is perfect here.

Very cool.

Thanks! I guess I don't believe in happily ever after, or perfect, at any level.
