Santa baby, I've been an awful good girl...

So, I'm ALL kinds of excited about THIS! Looks like there IS going to be more of Papa Winchester and the Wee!Winchester Brothers in some form at least.

I've been meaning to write a post about the last new episode of Supernatural, "Croatoan", where we were SUPPOSED to learn THE secret that John whispered to Dean before Papa Winchester bit the dust. And, of course, as the moment arrives-- shot of Sam saying, "Dean, what did he tell you?", cut to close up of Dean and then-- BLACK! You can bet that I was shouting, "KRIPKE!" when that happened. Though, I must admit that I didn't really think it was going to make it into the ep when we had about twelve minutes left and the resolution of the ep hadn't happened yet. I don't blame them for making us wait until January because if the secret is predictable ("Dad said you're actually demon spawn. Sorry, dude.") then they're going to want to keep the audience in suspense and ready to tune-in in January for the let down and if it's not, then the audience will be that much stronger in the new year.

I'll say this: I don't know what THE Secret (TS) is. I haven't read any spoilers that reveals TS and not more than three theories about TS. This is just my speculative ramblings.

I do think the secret has something to do with their mother Mary, but I'm not sold on the "she has demon blood" theory that's out there because the demon is completely uninterested in Dean, who obviously has the same mother as Sam. I'm not knocked out by the whole "Demon says: Sam I am your father" thing that's also circulating. Sam being "special" for the reason that he's part demon seems kinda blah to me. I don't want to be able to guess it-- I want to be completely bowled over when TS is divulged on January 11.

Now, I read something in a book that I thought was very interesting and could, perhaps, apply to Sam. Read about these beings called Surem. The Surem were a peaceful people and one day they heard a voice that said "...soon there would come an entirely new way of life. It would be brought by people who called themselves padres and they would teach the Surem about "good" and "evil," about something called baptism, about marriage... with these ideas would also come death to all people and to animals and plants."

Some heard this and chose to stay, others chose to leave before the future came and they went into the ground where they are still considered Surem with all their powers intact.

Then the book explains, "Seekers can travel to the distant Surem places to receive these powers, but not without dangerous consequences for those who find them. The Surem are still manifest in many ways even for those who do not travel to contact them. They are associated with seataka, an inborn power of intuitive intelligence that can be used for good or evil. It contains within it the gift of precognitive power, clairvoyance, "second sight," and is seen in people who have a profound connection to the natural world."

Hmmm... let's look at Sam. Being able to see the future? Check. An inborn power of intelligence? Check. Struggling with good/evil self? Check. The line about being able to get these powers without actually seeking them out also seems to fit Sam. I dunno guys. Not that I think that this is the answer, but I got this from A Field Guide to Demons which I found at Borders, so if I have access to this kind of information, I'm sure Kripke's team does too (among other things).

So that's where my head is at right now re: THE Secret.

In HARRY POTTER news: Someone wrote me a review and it opened my eyes to a new possibility. I've decided to change one, small, detail that will open up more possibilities for the future-- so THANK YOU REVIEWERS! I'm still working on the next chapter, making the changes. Snape's not really playing nice with me right now. I think he's pissed at me for linking him to Harry (he's sulking.)

Later!
