this is a Secret Garden post that isn't rly a Secret Garden post
...I blame everything on Kyuhyun and Ryeowook. So as everyone knows I'm not one who has a lot of patience for K-drama, but the Secret Garden hype got me curious and I was really bored, so... I still constantly want to punch the screen in second-hand embarrassment and exasperation every time the ~romance gets played out (can anyone be more socially-stunted than Kim Joo Won?!!), but somehow I've come to be fond of the characters and their neuroses, plus they're all very pretty... Yeah so anyway somehow I've suddenly developed a fondness for this guy called Lee Jong Suk who plays a music ~genius called Han Tae Sun in the drama. Tae Sun is... a total hipster brat, complete with intense music snobbery and ~edgy fashion sense.
First impression was "wow what is up with this brat?? ...a pretty one though." then as time went on... Oska's relentless pursuit of the kid raised more and more eyebrows... and then at one point it suddenly became clear that there is a romance subplot for these two. lol.
I can't help but cheer on Oska/Seul (so deliciously dysfunctional), but I ship these two as well. As it turns out, the kid might be as socially stunted as Joo Won, seeing how he has done nothing but insult and chase away Oska no matter how huge a crush he's got on the guy.
One of my favourite scenes.
Oska is so oblivious. The second favourite scene would be the one in ep 17 when Tae Sun was all "Do you like me? I like men." and Oska was all "So what?? I like girls. You can go on liking men, idc." and I had to facepalm and cry with lulz. It's hard not to ship them though. So cute and oblivious.
lol this scene I can't.
However, you know what really hooked me? Finding out that Lee Jong Suk was a professional model before he became an actor.
My god, I forgot how awesome it is to stan a model. You get so many pretty pictures. Especially runway models. I love that he was a runway model. And from the looks of it, he walked some pretty high-profile shows as well.

But this one is my ultimate favourite.
Such a typical underage half-naked portfolio photo I can't even!! When I saw this on my tumblr dashboard I had to do a double-take 'cause someone on my dash regularly posted pictures of underage underfed half-naked male models and I wasn't quite sure who it was. but srsly lol this photo. He was probably 16 at best at the time. Now I know Korean model agencies are the same as everywhere else, lolol.
He seems like such a quiet and awkward kid, I can't help but like him. ;_;
...Yeah so I'm gonna get back to my Accounting report now.
