It was the first true family dinner Gil had had in years. He had been nervous when Jack told him Sheila had accepted their offer--how does one entertain a Goddess, precisely? Particularly one that is acting as surrogate?
Things seemed to go well enough, with much laughter and revelry. He and Jack couldn't seem to keep their hands off of Sheila's belly, marveling at their own private miracle.
It was a good Thanksgiving.
