Fleeting against time
Greetings all. No demented aura of insanity to read about this time. Only normal regret for a nice weekend which has ended. I wish time could hault for a spell. Why can't the flux capacitor be real? I loved this weekend, it was an actual anniversary! I hate how fast time whisks away. I was thinking that now would have been a great time to start a coalition of people who are against weekends going by too quick. We could meet periodically and discuss how irritating it is that you blink a few times only to see time has shifted exponentially behind you. If you never blink, perhaps then there would be little chance for this to occur? I think it would consume too much time to have such a guild as this. Maybe we should redefine the second. I think that could at least feed my delusion that time could move slower.
I gave her a black box labled, "Pandora's Box" yesterday. It made her hesitate to open it, and when she did she found a tacky card which she loved :) Also within that were keys to this place. I wasn't sure if she liked that but she loved her necklace. It has three sapphire squares joined at the bottom corner and a diamond embedded in the topmost part of the white gold chain. It was the best thing I could think of. I was glad to see her face become happy when she realized what her gift was.
The pandora's box is lettered with gothic silver. She liked it, but I wonder if she would like it more if it were more "flashy cute". I thought it was cool, and therefore it was suitable.
Gifts tend to have a hint of your personality to them regardless who you give them too. She made me do a "scavenger hunt" for mine. Her clues led me from arena to arena in her apartment. I eventually found the paper which outlined the specs for a terabyte external usb hard drive!! Best gift ever.
She was going to originally get us to the Korn and Evenescence concert, which would have been ubersweet too. Work didn't allow such hookey though. I think it worked out very well.
