A fond and very painful goodbye
I hate posting sad things here. But I wanted to record this mainly for myself so that I could remember what I was feeling when I wrote it. My father passed away last Sunday. He was 82 years old and had a massive heart attack. He did not suffer at all, it seems. For that I am pleased, but I will miss him and his words of wisdom. It is still sinking in that I will never see him again in this life. I think the finality of that has not fully hit me yet. But I am putting together a list of memorable quotes of his to share with my family. He was very witty, funny and very wise - right up until the end. I will miss you Dad. I will love you forever. You will never know how much your wisdom and counsel helped shape who I am today.
