Nasty!
Here's a fun Friday the 13th story:
This morning I woke up, got ready, sat down and had my breakfast. Completely normal morning. My mom wakes up and comes down and decides to get the newspaper outside. She opens the door, and there, on the doormat, is the remains of a rat.
Our reaction was not the typical "ah man a cat brought his kill over here," more like "...WTF is this voodoo crap." The entire back half of the rat was on one corner of the mat. The intestines? were on another corner of the mat, the full unopened stomach? was on another corner, and finally there was a small pile of neatly severed rat feet in the remaining corner.
I'm 99.9% sure it was just a very picky cat, and maybe other scavengers made off with certain bits of the left overs, but... I don't know. I've never seen a kill like that. No blood anywhere either. It was a weird way to start to the day.
