Despite rumors to the contrary, I'm actually still out here alive and well. I just noticed that I haven't posted anything since November! Not atypical for me, I'm afraid, but apologies nonetheless. I know there are those of you who hang on my every word

It's nice to have you back. Your name came up recently in conversation when we were discussing who we knew that might know significant numbers of people in Iowa. The organization BlackBoxVoting (.org) is looking for people to legally record and document the caucus process in as many precincts as possible. They don't have many members in Iowa.

Of course when your name came up I was reminded of your disarming smile, and stopped thinking about election-verification for several seconds.

Interestingly I never caucused while I lived in Iowa. I stayed a registered Michigan voter until I moved to Richmond. I have always believed strongly in political involvement in one's local community, which for me was never Iowa! Oh well. It's interesting to see lots of Grinnel students profiled in the media once very four years. :)
