It feels like I'm leaking money worse than my sink leaks downstairs. But, paying my student loans for the month is good for leaving me with that sort of feeling.

I found out my dad has a Twitter account, but doesn't have a facebook, whereas I'm the opposite. And, ask him about his iPhone and he'll spend twenty minutes bragging about the many free apps he's found that serve interesting but odd functions (Public bathroom finder?).

I spent the day over there, helping them clean and move furniture. And, I mooched breakfast and lunch off them (and mom sent me home with a frozen pot pie) to save on money and dishes. Still no word about when the plumber is coming. If they have even called.

I bitch and bitch about this apartment, because I'm a whiner.

To prove my love...
The entryway/south end of the living space

Now full of my junk.

I failed at getting the angle right, but heck, I didn't even have pairing them in mind.

Cthulhu, the first possession of mine to arrive here.

My ancient, ancient stove.

And, my two cats, in one shot.

The truth is that I get a sense of pride driving around here. Pride and awe. It's a darn spiffy area. And I like having my own little nook to come home to. There really isn't much to it, but it gives me a homey feel. I'm very disappointed about the shabby shape of maintenance around here. But I still like it.

In unrelated news, like half of Dallas (or more?), I've caught a cold or something. I'm happy I got the loft bed taken out, because I'm so achey and tired, I don't think I could have climbed up that shaky ladder confidently. That thing REALLY needed to be bolted to a wall if adults were going to use it (oddly enough, I saw it in the kid's section of Ikea). Space saver, but not really a comfortable one.

Anyone else see Doll House yet? What'd you think? I have to say, it really lacks Whedon's usual humor. But, it's got my interest for now.
