...except for the fact that Dumbledore doesn't actually talk about being gay in the books. If you want to have a number about Dumbledore and homoerotic subtext, have one focus on his relationship with Grindelwald. Maybe one about him and Elphias's friendship/possible romantic relationship. An HMS Greater Good song is completely plausable and makes sense... but not Dumbledore talking about being gay. I don't think he would unless it really mattered to whatever issue came up.

I think the song Queer by Garbage would suit him, since, queer plainly means eccentric.

Someone did a Harry/Luna video to that song actually;
The Queerest of the Queer...

Hmmm...I wonder if Luna and Dumbledore were ever friends.

As far as Garbage songs go, "Bleed Like Me" is for Harry, "Cherry Lips" is SO Lockhart, and "I Think I'm Paranoid" is from Remus to Sirius. (My Sirius/Remus perception is... atypical. xD) And I see the Trio doing "The World Is Not Enough".

Though, if we're talking Bond themes... "Die Another Day" MUST be for Voldie. Yes, by Madonna. XDDD

I always saw "The World Is Not Enough" to be more of a Grindeldore thing, but I love that you pegged "Cherry Lips" for Lockhart -- that made me smile way too much.

"Another one bites the dust" (Queen) for the murders of Amelia Bones, Mrs Abbott, Ted Tonks etc.

"Dancing in the moonlight" for Remus/Tonks' wedding (I know it's not actually described in the books except in passing, but it would be a clever fit).

I actually started writing a musical theatre type song for Merope Riddle once, lol. I should see if I still have it. I think my friend and I were trying to come up with some weird Voldemort musical and at one point we had this Horcrux dance number, rofl. yay for weirdness.

In terms of actual songs though...
My Dumbledore-Grindelwald song, just from the unique aspect of their dynamic even without the slash aspect, was "Fire and Rain" by James Taylor. In terms of Broadway songs? "The Riddle" from Scarlet Pimpernel would be a good one for the first war against Voldemort.

Really? I'd love to see that. I want to write a AD/GG musical opea; it will be tragic and bittersweet and oh-so heartbreaking. And probably have some Legimens-sex.

I don't know the Scarlet Pimpernel, so I have to say that some stuff from Phantom of the Opera would be VERY fitting. Gellert should sing "Point of No Return" to Albus. <3

Adore your icon, first off. Second off -- the idea of "Point of No Return" is genius -- I would love that! Oh, I'm already seeing it in my head -- yum. ^^
