Another year

Aug 27, 2006 20:00

So, I might try my hand at this whole journal thing. Not just quizzes and jank, but meaningless jank about my life. We'll see how it goes.

So, as of today:
Yes, I am still with Douglas, and very happy
No, I am not wearing a ring yet
Yes, I am still at VMI
Yes, I will hopefully graduate in May
No, I will not quit Glee Club
No, I will not do theatre this semester
Yes, I still HTFP
I am rooming with Elise Jones, Ketra Alexander and Kathleen Resetar in C-22 - the basement of Barracks
I will be taking 20 hours this semester - it would be 23 if it weren't for the special-ed english department
I have no room for all my stuff
I have too much stuff
I am not looking forward to writing all the papers I am going to
I am not sure what I want to do with my life - I'm looking at USN(R?) Supply Corps and/or a job in corporate retail or something along those lines
I have been "home-based" in Lexington since January 10, with a few weekend trips to Stafford, VA and NYC
I won't be back in Seattle until December 22nd ish
I really hope I pass everything this semester

I have some goals for this semester so I will pass, graduate in May and get on with my life:
1. Don't visit "time waster" internet sites (except Cuteoverload.com...but that takes only a couple of minutes)
2. Say "no" to Col Brodie more often - or at least delegate
3. Work ahead all semester
4. Stay healthy
5. Eat right and work hard on PW+ to lose 15 - 20 pounds (I already lost 25 since January!)
6. Don't take weekends unless everything really is done
7. Make productive use of weekend (and free) time
8. Write Grandma more often

Okay, so #8 isn't really academic or school related, but everybody needs to write to grandma more!

I apologize for the list format, but it's a start :) I'll get better at this as time goes on
