Kouyou looked out upon thousands of screaming fan girls. An odd feeling overtook him for the second time during this tour. He missed her; so very much. Kouyou knew that the only girl he wished to be looking at him that night was not there. Sachi was not there. A beam of bright light sent him into his own world. Silence took over, then a soft stringing of the violin warmed his soul. Even though Kouyou had his eyes closed, he could see Sachi in his mind's eye. There she was, seated in a small wooden chair, stringing her violin with half dazed eyes.
“Sachi, you always play so wonderfully.” Kouyou announced as Sachi pulled herself out of a her recent piece in progress. She looked up and smiled brightly, melting Kouyou in place. Her soft smile could never be matched. Not in beauty or in grace.
“You always come back to see me Kouyou.” Pale glazed eyes looked at Kouyou, despite not being able to see him. He moved forward, and kneeled in front of Sachi. Her smile did not waver, but a wave of sadness washed over her elegant features. Tilting her head slightly, she gave him a questioning look.
“Why are you sad?” Gently, Sachi placed her violin in the case near her chair then tenderly placed her hands on his cheeks. Even with her blind eyes, Sachi managed to reach him without mistakes. He closed his eyes, enjoying the sensation of her hands warming his sharp cheekbones.
“I wish you could see me play.” He stated flatly. Sachi frowned but only for a moment. “I wish I could as well. Its just, there are so many people.” Her shoulders shook upon speaking. Thoughts of her last performance haunted her mind still. Sighing, Kouyou stood back up with Sachi’s hands firmly interlaced with his.
“Soon. I will play a song just for you.” Without much warning, Kouyou pulled Sachi into a tight embrace. She stood shocked at the sudden movement, but then quickly wrapped her arms around his waist. He leaned down, placing a kiss on the top of her head. The scent of vanilla and cherry blossom danced in his nose, imprinting her essence on him.
“Oi! Kouyou!” Kai slapped a hand on Kouyou back. Instantly, Kouyou threw his hands up, receiving a roar from the crowd. The girls swooned, and he bowed. He laughed with Kai and rushed off the stage. Backstage, all the guys pulled out their smokes and grabbed some food expect Kouyou, who flipped open his phone to see a new text.
‘You sounded amazing!’ Wide eye, Kouyou jumped from his seat. Looking around, Kouyou wondered if he was going crazy. There was no way she could be in Kyoto, or in the ball hall. Kouyou knew that Sachi couldn't handle the idea of being in large crowds, not anymore. Akira looked at the frazzled Kouyou but decided to leave the ditzy blond to himself.
'Your car has a dent.' Instantly, Kouyou took off without a word to his band mates. They would have to wait. If she was here, really here-- His thoughts cut short as the backstage doors buckled under his kick. His car was placed in the back, where he liked it. However, on top of his car hood was a tiny figure. A pearl white dress that he had bought froze him in place. Sachi's beautiful brown hair looked marvelous in the moonlight. Kouyou feet suddenly began moving without giving him a moment to recover.
"Its about time you showed up." Sachi's head tilted up, revealing her soft neck and porcelain skin face. Her honey cream eyes looked into him like no other could.
"I thought-" Sachi smiled, breaking him in mid-sentence. "Did you think I would miss another one? I realized I was being selfish." She looked down with a sad smile, the one that stabbed Kouyou every time. Her soft lips quivered slightly, sending shivers down Kouyou's spine. She smiled again.
"I wish I would've been able to really see you. Despite my blind eyes, my ears know your playing anywhere." Kouyou watched the blind Sachi as she gracefully acted out her feelings, unknowingly laying her heart on the line.
"Kouyou listen, I just wanted to--"This time she was cut off. Kouyou silently grabbed her chin in his hand, pulling her the last few inches toward him. Before Sachi could let out a gasp she, his lips were against hers.
Sachi's gasp died on her lips, just as the million thoughts racing through her mind silenced as well. She tried to pull away from Kouyou for a moment, but his arms had come to wrap around her waist, holding her possessively to him.
His lips were soft but pressed against Sachi as if he were trying to devour her. His tongue ran across her bottom lip and, without thinking, she opened to him, body going limp against his. She'd never felt this before -about anyone. Her family had taught her to protect herself from men, from men just like Kouyou, but right now-- Kouyou was all Sachi wanted.
With one swift movement, Kouyou placed his entire body on the hood of the car. Knees on either side of Sachi's body. He moved in, his lips never leaving hers. She moved her body back, giving both of them more room. Instantly, his hands worked up her leg, rubbing the skin lightly as if it were rice paper. In his mind, she was fragile as rice paper, yet as strong steel.
He broke away for a second. "Sachi-" Instantly Sachi captured his mouth and for a moment Kouyou considered pulling away, wanting to finish his statement. But Sachi was moving them deliciously against his, coaxing him into action.
He moaned quietly when Sachi pulled away to nibble on the corner of his bottom lip before moving to slip her tongue under Kouyou's upper lip. Kouyou opened his mouth, more and more to satisfy Sachi's interest. A shiver shook his long frame as Sachi's tongue slid erotically against his, slick and demanding. He couldn't suppress the moan of approval at the action either. The heat from their bodies began leaving heat marks on the car. The urge to roll with one another took over. To bad they forgot where they were. Kouyou lifted Sachi's waist so she would be on top of him, but miscalculated the area of space in which they had. Thud!
"Ow, that really hurt!" Kouyou whined as an unharmed giggling Sachi laid on top of him.
"Well, that was fun." Sachi giggled while slowly feeling the ground around her. Gently she moved into a seated position while still smiling affectionately. Lean up, Kouyou looked at her with a loving smile. No other could make him smile so easily. No other held such a place in his heart.
"I love you Sachi." Her eyes wavered to the ground. "Its alright. I'm not looking for you to say it back." Sachi looked up suddenly, there were tears rimming her lids.
"Kouyou! Its just-" Kouyou shook his head. "You have been hurt one too many times. I could understand if you never used those words again." Sachi looked down, biting at her lip. Smiling slightly, Kouyou stood up and gripped Sachi's hand. She willing interlaced their fingers and pulled herself up.
”Its not that I-“ Kouyou cut her off with a simple rub on the back. His sheer understanding of her nature and dynamic past silenced her. Kouyou pulled Sachi along, making sure she wouldn’t bump into any of the cars. She smiled at his every movement. He was so careful with her, even when she wasn’t in any danger. Bumping into a car was the least of her worries. Once they reached the doors, Kouyou glanced at her once more.
The group had never met Sachi. It wasn’t like he was hiding her, but it never seemed like the right time before. Why was now different? The uneasy feeling in his stomach almost made him sick. Letting out a deep sigh, he opened the door and guided her in. The hallway was darker then he remembered. For a moment he wanted to close his eyes, and imagine what it was like for Sachi.
“I do like you Kouyou.” She said finally. Kouyou broke from his thoughts and looked at her. As if she could feel his gaze, her eyes dropped to the ground. However, a smile gracefully took her lips. Before he could reply, light broke into the hallway. Looking up, Kouyou saw Takanori looked at him with an unreadable expression.
“So, this is why you have been disappearing.” Akira stated flatly. The tone of Akira’s voice rather irked Kouyou. It wasn’t like Akira was being rude, but it still annoyed him for some reason. Kai on the other hand was friendly and happily chatting with Sachi. At first Kai did realize she was blind, then it struck him when her eyes drifted the wrong way when someone else spoke to her. The other person being Yuu, who was near Sachi but wasn’t moving therefore not giving away his location.
“You never told us you had a girlfriend.” Kouyou opened his mouth but nothing came out. He didn’t know what they were. Nether of them ever stated their status. It was true that he took her on many dates, got her gifts, and thought the world of her, but were they really dating? Looking over his shoulder, Kouyou glanced at Sachi.
“I guess I was waiting for the right time.” He couldn’t see it, but Sachi looked like she was about to cry. Kai moved forward, giving her a worried look. A rush of air signaled that he moved forward. She guessed Kei was looking at her face. A small laugh with a brilliant smile reflected her inner thoughts. She was so happy tear started threatening her boldly. Sniffing slightly, she placed a reassuring look on her face for Kai, and the mysteriously placed Yuu.
“Well, its good to meet you Sachi, but guys I gotta head out.” Yuu remarked while grabbing his things and waving goodbye. Sachi waved also, her timing slightly off, but close enough for Yuu to see before walking out the door.
“How do you do that? I mean, if you’re blind-“Kai trailed off at as Sachi’s face softened a bit. Kouyou whipped around to look at Kai with a hard stare. Retreating back, Kai was about to speak again to apologies.
“Its alright. I wasn’t born blind. It was due to a accident I had a year ago. I guess I still act upon old habits. I don’t know if I waved at the right time, but it seemed close by sounds he was making.” Sachi placed her hand firmly in her lap, the eye boring into her was a bit to much for Sachi. She could always feel starring even if she couldn’t see it.
“I’m sor-” Sachi lifted her hand. “No need. Besides, if I wouldn’t have been blinded, I most likely would not have met Kouyou.” She smiled and turned her head in the correct direction. Kouyou smiled, as did Sachi.
“Well, it has been fun but the night is young. I need a drink.” Akira stood, and Takanori followed. “Pleasant idea! Anyone else?” Everyone excluding Sachi, looked at Kouyou. He looked down for a moment, unsure of what to do.
“You should go! Have fun. I’ll just head to my hotel.” Sachi said before Kouyou had a chance to say now.
“Oh, I’ll take her there. I am really tired, so I don’t mind.” Kai offered, thankful for a reason to get out of their drinking-fest. To be continued...
