At least I get to sleep with an aircon for the weekend

In Phinma Training Center in Tagaytay, and will be here until Sunday afternoon.

Smart Bro is cooperating somewhat with GPRS, not with 3G. Phinma has WiFi but charges exorbitant rates for it. I mean come on, Php100 per hour?!

Anyway, I love that I'm staying solo in a room for two. That means I can freaking do whatever I want. =D I'm still sore, however, on not being able to spend the weekend with family. What's surprising is that a lot of people here share the same sentiments.

I'm the youngest in the group here - that didn't take a long time to process at all.

The trend in this seminar is that it's the older ones who speak more, while the younger ones are those that tend to listen. For one, it's really intimidating to speak up in the presence of people who are held in high esteem in the academe.

There were times that I really wanted to speak up, but I decided against it because the older ones were already struggling to understand the concept of "surrender". It got a bit ... err ... spiritual, I guess? In my opinion, the difficulty of relating a spiritual concept to an educated bunch, who are used to the intricacies of theories, they think that this thought of "complete surrender" is something they cannot do, for reasons that are very real.

However for me it made perfect sense, not because of the way it was discussed earlier, but with how I was taught about it as well as personal experience. I guess it really makes a difference when one tries doing it instead of just speaking it out.

I also think that the Brother who taught us could have done a better job of explaining the concept of surrender. He left a lot of questions hanging. I also think that you shouldn't "welcome" the pain you feel as a result of various negativity in your life, you should "accept" it. "Welcome" is weird, it's like you're looking for pain. One's outlook on pain should be realistic.

I am rambling, and it's nearly midnight.

I have a ton of pictures to post come Sunday/Monday. It's gonna be hot. XD
