The weekend that was
Before anything else, this has to be said: if bump into each other frequently but never really shared a decent conversation or a lunch/dinner/merienda/whatever ... if we're not close, never make that fatal mistake of violating my personal space. I will end up despising said person for as long as he/she shows up in my face or, if he/she does get in my good side, it would take longer than usual.
I'm quite particular with personal space, despite how flamboyant I can get when I'm with people I know. Holding my hand is okay. But holding and rubbing my waist, patting my chin ... NO. Just, NO.

Tiring? Yes. Fun? Yes.
It was the waiting that made the whole gig tiring.
Long story short, I pulled off 3 of my four songs (the last one I didn't get to sing anymore, which was great, given that we're still paid the same amount regardless). The bridal march song sounded really well, better than I thought it would. When the parental units saw the videos they even applauded when one of the songs with me in it ended. (Whut?!)
I posted the video on FB for the people whom I was with, as well as for the rest of the family to see na din. It's been 24 hours now and I've nearly 30 good comments on the post, including wall posts or status messages related to which were I'm tagged; and a good number of people in the office who tell me personally that I sounded good.
Mmmmfff. Something must be wrong with me, cause until now I'm musing on the "bad" parts and wishing I didn't sound like this at this particular note. My OCness knows no positives sometimes.

Okay, speaking of singing, this lady was shouting at the top of her lungs Just Dance by Lady Gaga, then Single Ladies by Beyonce, then Jai Ho (ZOMG). I don't know if there's a party or what, but wherever it is, the music's so loud that I could hear it all the way here.
She's back to Lady Gaga now, Poker Face.
Sheesh.
