Okay, Legolas vs. Gimli. Drinking game.
I've only seen the first part of this on Youtube or something, but I never knew who won. But as expected, the son of Thranduil emerged victorious, baby! LOOOL! I love love love love it. XD
I also love that Gimli addressed Legolas in TTT as "Elven princeling". So far, references to Legolas being royalty in the movie version only count to two (first being in FOTR, where Haldir addresses him as "the son of Thranduil"). We're done with the first CD of ROTK, and there have been no references yet. I'm thinking that the only royalty reference in the third movie will be him wearing that *ZOMGEPICDROOLABLE* tiara.
I love that Legolas's royalty status is not something that he flaunts. Always I've thought that he may be one of the younger sons of Thranduil (though there is no mention of Thranduil's children in Tolkien's legendarium, or if Legolas had elder brothers/sisters) because he carries a rather common aura about him (common for an elf, like compared to Arwen, for instance) He carries his elven shinies with humility.
Anyway, LOTR will be finished today. Then I'm packing for Laguna.
--- --- ---
Many have noticed that I got a tan. Here's the problem: I didn't go to the beach. O___O
Note to self - wear sunblock in Laguna. =____= It's great to finally have some color (a lot of people think I'm sickly pale), but I at least want my color to be even, right? XD

I've been asked to sing for a wedding on May 15. It's a wedding of two people I do not know, which is a bit scary. But it's my first "gig", meaning ... I'll be paid.
Proceeds will go to the DSLR fund, demmet! Bwahahahahahahahahah!
Ehem.
Here's the proposed lineup:
Ikaw, by Regine Velasquez - I DO NOT KNOW THIS SONG, and yet I've been told that almost every Filipino knows this song. Well, my dad doesn't know it, nor does my mom. So, what does that mean? Are we not Filipinos or are we just ignorant? LOL. We don't listen to Regine that much, I guess. But I'm NOT doing the song the way she did. That was waaaay overkill. XD
Valentine and Greatest Gift of All, by Jim Brickman - I've heard these two songs so many times over the radio, but I don't know them well enough to be able to sing them confidently. In fact I've never sung these two songs in public, more so to myself! Hahahahaha! Probably because they're wedding songs, and for me to be able to relate I'd at least have to get a love life first. But I digress.
The Prayer - another template wedding song, and a song that I'm actually scared to venture into, because of the shift in language. I'd prefer if my voice teacher taught me this instead of me learning it by myself.
I've been given all the mp3s, except for the first and only song that I'm sure to sing (the rest are just for back-up, would you believe that?).
As Tim Gunn so often said, make it work.
