36.1 degrees. GOD. Last night was unbearable. I had the air cooler and the electric fan on. That was the first time it ever happened in my 5 months in Laguna.
Anticipating the heat tonight, I made five ice bags instead of the usual four. I hope I don't have to turn on my fan aside from the air cooler tonight. I hate the buzz I hear in the background.

LJ, I hate you so much right now. I had a whole entry typed up and you decided to hang on me. You should have the autosave feature on your "edit journal entries" too, you know.

Spam omelette was the first meal of the day.
Taste: 8/10
Presentation: 1/10 FAIL
I wanted to cook breakfast instead of having the usual cereal with bread. Omelettes aren't my thing, really. It's either I have too much of the stuffing, I overcook the egg or I fail with the flipping. In this case, it was more of the first. For this omelette, I used Spam with cheese and seasoned it with pepper and just a small dash of salt - Spam in itself is salty already, IMO. The taste was pretty decent, given that I have no spice rack to my disposal in this dorm.
I'll probably try a mushroom cheese omelette next. =D

I started reading Genji Monogatari yesterday. As to when I'll be finishing it, HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
GOOD LUCK! I'll definitely take it in stride, cross the bridge when we get there ... that kind of reading.
What makes this copy of Genji Monogatari really cool are the illustrations and the footnotes. For a book that's monumentally hard to understand like Genji, you need some distraction from the brainbleed.
I'm learning a lot of things by just reading the footnotes. After reading the first few pages with footnotes, all the harem-related anime I've watched (which is, not a lot) came to mind, and these tiny details about harem life took on a different light altogether - imperial sons having to earn the title of Prince (and with only four ranks available, good luck if the Imperial family has more than four sons!), consorts who are thrusted into possibly tragic, unrequited love ... the stuff that the drama called life is made of.
The biggest problem with my Genji book is its weight. It's not exactly portable, and inasmuch as I want to carry it with me for the weekend, I'm inclined not to. :( For this weekend though (since it's a long one) I will be bringing it home. For the non-long weekends however ... I'll have to give a think.

Going to LSGH tomorrow afternoon to give brochure materials. :) My first brochure, demmet! My fingers are crossed!
