On my own

And now I'm all alone again
Nowhere to turn, no one to go to
Without a home, without a friend
Without a face to say hello to
And now the night is here
Now I can make believe he's here
--- On My Own, Les Miserables

Segue: Did you see how Lea Salonga performed this? Daaaaaammmmnnnn. Look at the way she opens her mouth. It's all in the mouth, I say. And then I suddenly remember how she did Bayan Ko during Cory's funeral. That brought chills.

I'm back in the office again. Far from home. Nowhere to turn, no one to go to (like Eponine). But I'll be in Makati tomorrow to buy some picture frames for our exhibit. =D Oh the city. I love you dearly.

I find myself listening to Les Miserables often nowadays, probably because I'm reading the book.

I bought Haruki Murakami's The Wind-up Bird Chronicle yesterday. I was seriously tempted to buy The Tale of Genji, which was still wrapped in plastic, but cost a whopping Php1175 or something ... -___-. Hopefully, when payday comes, the book is still there.

And now, to work!

randomness, work, books
