Okay, erase and rewind! What. a. day. Seriously, it's just been awful, and I'm quite ready to start the weekend.
I've finally heard some feedback on the two billboards that were released earlier this month. From a Brother (not my boss), I learned that the IS people so far have positive feedback. From a Kinder teacher however, she said that people (parents I guess) have been telling her that there's too much text going on in the Tagaytay-Sta. Rosa billboard, and they think that the design for the 12x12 banner should have been the one in the 7x10.
What I've learned in the 24 years that I've been living is that everyone's a critic. Not that I don't appreciate the criticism, I do welcome it. The fact that people are criticizing means I have an audience.
With the issue of having "too much text", I am inclined to agree. You've only got seconds to view a billboard to begin with, especially in highways. But it is a vast improvement from the last billboard, which had text the size of Arial 72pt on a 7 by 10-foot billboard. In any which way, I can't say if I I'd cut text should I redo it again (without cost, of course). If I do need to cut text, it will have to be "College" and "Integrated School" with the subtext underneath. BUT ... I'm sure as hell that it won't be without protest. XD
On swapping the design of the 7x10 with the 12x12, this one I have to outrightly disagree. I think that the reason this came up was because the 12x12 billboard is more engaging than the one along the highway. But truth be told, the 12x12 billboard has more text than the 7x10! Another reason why I think the 12x12 is more pleasing is due to its size. Honestly, 7x10 is too small. Tapos you have branches pa that obstruct line of sight. Super partida. Thirdly, you technically have more time to appreciate the 12x12 billboard because the LTI Spine Road isn't a highway. You've got a speed limit to follow, and humps to go over. Moderate is the way to go, so your three-second rule is extended.
What I did notice though, with that conversation with the Kinder teacher, is that everyone kind of wants to do their own thing, their own way with Marketing. That's fine and good, but ... LOL, what's my purpose here then? I love suggestions and proposals. But how about budget (and if I may add, I'm kind of like the Santa Claus at work because of my budget, the Brother President said so himself)? And how about manpower? And how about time?
Tread lightly, please. Your Marketing & Communications Office is a one-woman team.

Dorm life talk!
I had deep-fried dumplings for dinner tonight. Notice the perfect golden brown. Yes I am proud.
The weird thing was, after that batch was done, the remaining two didn't cook the same way. It's like they were in a similar state after 10, 15, 20 minutes. So I had no choice but to take them out of the pan and put it on microwave.
This was how the microwaved batch came out. They looked like the first batch, but tasted awful. I ended up just finishing the filling and throwing the wrapper away.
I don't know when will I completely understand electric stoves. Le sigh.

Two days back I tried to post an entry in LJ using TGM 2.0. I guess that pretty summed the attempt up.
Oh, something happened to this new baby Tuesday morning. The condensed version of it was, well, basically ... everything got wiped out. But everything was replaced again, but I still have to go back to make modifications.
LOL, espresso story for the win!

I might as well pimp this. I've already finished posting 1/4 of the content from chimera___. This includes most of the public posts, all NaNoWriMo-related work and the one-shot SaiMono-After Dark fanfic.
