Okay, finally, a sense of normalcy. Home.
It's noisy. There's TV - with cable. There are no trees, just buildings. I see the discus swimming. Internet, oh blessed Internet. And I don't have to kill the flying ipis (did you see my FB post about that? LOL that was just bad). But I honestly think I looked like a lunatic when I stepped off the bus and into the corner of Osmena Highway and the PNR. The smell of exhaust, the noise, the towering buildings - I knew I was home. The madness felt absolutely wonderful.
It's going to be quite a busy weekend:
1. I'll be buying my Internet connection today. It's a toss-up between Smart Bro's Plan 799 and Plan 1,500. I'm quite partial to Plan 799, which has 80 free hours. Four hours a day is close to my average surfing hours at home. If that will apply on weekdays there, then I'll be making full use of the 80 free hours, and if I do go over, it's Php20 per hour.
2. Grocery shopping. Just a few items - bread, ziplock bags, microwaveable containers, chalk which can kill insects (especially flying ipis), and other stuff I can think about
3. Special number in church - Carol of the Bells, two services. Sell t-shirts.
4. Other ad-hoc stuff that I have to do, if and when.
Strangely enough, when I tried playing my videos here at home, the plug-ins work like a charm. But, since I forgot the external CD drive in the dorm (stupid, yes I know), I had to transfer the .avi file from the CD to my thumb drive, then insert the USB into the S10 and play it, so it's not an actual simulation. Boo. I'd have to defer actual testing till Monday. I just have to cross my fingers that it works. Otherwise, it's going to be soooo boooorinng.
randomness,
