LA at night, this shot is really gorgeous. Somehow because of this I associate night time with Reese just as I associate sunlight with Charlie.

YES YES YES! And you should post this to pers_pineapple, fo' sure.

I was thinking of doing so but didn't know if I was allowed. Will do so now. :)

Darn, forgot to add (stupid non-edit function) but it sort of makes some sort of sense that Reese = night and Charlie = day. It's kind of trite but it makes sense.

I love how it's shot. Not just the angels and depth or whatever, but the colours are so vibrant! I don't know if they're really like or they use some sort of filter or touch it up, but its really great. Take a look at the green in that last picture for example.

Brilliant.

When is this damn strike gonna be over? :P

The use of color is fantastic, whoever their cinematographer is should be given a raise (same as the music supervisor and the writers and the actors... and, uh, everyone).

I want this show to come back soon so bad.

This does explain why my eyes always feel content and well fed after viewing this show. Very nice cinematography to be sure.

It does leave you visually satisfied, doesn't it? They do such interesting things with the camera and lighting.

I was re-watching Farthingale and it hit me, the pretty shiny cinematography reminds me a bit of the pretty shiny of Farscape. As do Reese and Crews remind me or Aeryn and John.

Oh, man, you're right! The shiny cinematography *does* remind me of Farscape. And, yes, I've thought about the similarities between Aeryn and John too.

*misses both shows*

You've managed to capture some really beautiful shots here. I love the one of the fence (that scene in the show is so heartbreaking) and this caught the emotion perfectly.

I don't normally save graphics to memories, but this is definitely an exception.

And, yes, there are days that the city can be that beautiful.

I just love all aspects of the show and I can't quite believe how wonderfully they've shot LA. They do so much with the lighting and the scenes.

Glad you enjoyed.

I love that you took the time to post an LA-appreciation picspam -- well done! I totally agree with your thoughts, and I'm really glad they show LA as a beautiful city. Since I've moved away, I miss it.

I've only ever been to LA once and have a hazy recollection of the city but Life just makes me want to re-visit it again because they shoot it so beautifully. Life really excels at visuals.

As much as I love LA, I think it'd be hard to recreate its beauty the way Life does...especially downtown. :D

Hee. I think it would be too but really seeing the shiny cinematography makes me want to visit each location for myself, if I ever return to the US I'm planning to do a sort of Life tour. Visit the locations and see how it matches up to the real LA.

BTW, just out of curiousity, would you have any idea where Reese and Crews are stationed or are they in some make believe police station? Because from the pictures I've seen of Parker Center and they're building, it doesn't really look the same...
