January Talking Meme #10 - What would your ideal Star Wars fic be?

My ideal Star Wars fic would be an epic saga of an idealized EVERYBODY LIVES ‘verse where Anakin didn’t fall and someone (preferably Padme and Ahsoka) punches Palpatine in the face repeatedly and the Skywalker twins get to know Ahsoka.
I’d love to read how the Jedi come to the realization that they came very close to getting destroyed and putting a Sith Lord into power, and they start the long and painful process of reformation.
They’ve become stagnant and set in their ways and maybe to make this possible Yoda steps down from the Council and he goes on a long walk around the galaxy (just like he did in Season 6, but longer).
Then Bail Organa becomes the Supreme Chancellor in place of Palpatine and immediately calls for peace with the Separatists. And, because the Jedi are slowly extricating themselves from the war they can turn their attention back to Peacekeeping just in time to notice what Maul is doing in Mandalore.
AND SATINE LIVES!
The reformation of the Jedi happens just in time to stop Barriss from pushing through with her plan to bomb the temple. Ahsoka becomes a Jedi Knight, and Anakin becomes a Jedi Master.
And then Lux never ever shows up.
You know what? I would also like to extend this EVERYBODY LIVES AU bubble to saving Steela Gerrera.
Because of the Jedi Reformation, Padme pushes Anakin to make their marriage public and after a lot of back and forth Anakin finally agrees but only if they get to tell Obi-Wan and Ahsoka first. Padme agrees but that’s only because Padme suspects they already know.
Anakin invites both Obi-Wan and Ahsoka to dinner with Padme.
They have a very awkward dinner, because Anakin was making it awkward. Finally Anakin tells Obi-Wan and Ahsoka that he and Padme are married.
There is a long silence where they fail to look surprise. Anakin is impatient for their reactions and Ahsoka clues in that this was supposed to be BIG NEWS and tries to act surprised but she is (still) a terrible actress. Obi-Wan doesn’t even try to act and says, he’s known all along.
Anakin’s jaw drops and is petulant the whole evening because he worried for no reason. And that’s how Obi-Wan and Ahsoka end up as godparents to Luke and Leia.
