ghostmartyr I love Fullmetal Alchemist, both versions! Although not the movie versions of the first FMA.
Hiromu Arakawa wrote FMA so well and with so many amazing characters! She wrote so many awesome women in the story. And I love how the worldbuilding made so much sense the world's system of magic was really inventive!
I love the concept of Equivalent Exchange and the consequences that comes with it, Equivalent Exchange embodied the phrase: 'all magic comes with a price'.
I also love all the relationships in the show and how, at the end of the day Roy and Riza know they can't really atone for the atrocities they commited against the Ishvalan people, all they can do to move forward is to take steps that it won't happen again.
I love the relationship between Ed and Alphonse. I love how they're all badass in their own way, and I love that this story isn't your average shounen story where the protagonist only cared about the next fight to prove they were strong and skilled.
Ed and Al worked toward a goal that made sense to who they were.
Arakawa deserves all the awards!
