Fringe 4x02 - One Night in October
So, the only reason Olivia and Astrid aren't close friends was because Peter was there? So if the time line was re-written back then we'd lose the friendship?
Well. More and more I don't care for Peter to return. An unpopular opinion, I know. But the more I watch this new re-written 'verse the more I like it.
The Redverse was re-wrtitten too and Colonel Broyles is alive! More reason to hope the old verse wouldn't snap back!
I love that one choice or one person in someone's life is enough to change the road you walk in, for John it was Marjory, for Olivia it was her stepfather. I'm guessing alt!Olivia's stepfather wasn't abusive or she didn't have a stepfather at all.
This is why alt!Olivia can smile so easily and be more free, she wasn't burdened with the childhood our!Olivia had and I'm guessing Cortexiphan trials still pushed through in this world judging from our!Olivia's eidetic memory.
One big, big change in this Olivia, and one reason why Olivia 2.0 is harder than original!Olivia was because Olivia went ahead and killed her step father where as Olivia 1.0 hesitated and that's a decision that's been haunting her everyday. That's one big change there and answers so many questions from last episode.
This is the Fringe I want to watch, the Olivia Dunham show with Walter, Astrid, Broyles, Charlie and Lincolns.
So, you know, I'm really not too keen when this becomes the Peter Bishop show again during the second half. I wasn't thrilled for it last season, I sure as hell won't be thrilled for it this season.
We should always have Olivias working together!
