I say we start mailing hair ties to Life. Just, you know, lots and lots of hair elastics addressed to Sarah. And also, "Dealing With Sexual Harassment In The Workplace" handbooks, but we can address those to Dani. Damn.
I'm onboard with this a LOT. I really don't get where they're going with all these blatant harassment of Reese. (Well, I do, obviously to appeal to the male demographic -urgh).
Thing is, Dani obviously DOESN'T LIKE this. If she were playing along, I wouldn't mind so much, but she's really getting annoyed. One of these days, she and Charlie and Tidwell may meet in a dark ally. It ain't going to be pretty, let me tell you that.
Then there's the fact that we do get these softenings of Tidwell, where you can really enjoy him and there are these parts where he's just this guy, a little rough around the edges, but basically a good man, then you turn around and they're shoving this crap in your face.
Yes, Dani doesn't like it - she was initially perplexed that her CO would hit on her, she went and asked Charlie why men have to be so disgusting, she took offense to Tidwell and while she might not be so adamant because that's what the stupid director asked Sarah how to play it because Charlie's zen must be rubbing on her a little too well.
See, if Tidwell had someone like Davis along I tolerate him and actually like him and when he isn't hitting on Dani he's well, he's okay but yes the crap he pulls make me want to kick him out of an airlock.
Last episode of NCIS was just plain awesome. I absolutely loved it. I love the whole team. I don't even care much about the cases, I just love watching the team <3
and LIFE! i can't express how much i love it! and it's not even for the ship (which is usually the case with shows) b/c i don't even look for crews/reese anymore! the show is just awesome! everything. the cases, the conspiracy, the partnership. HEE.
I used to ship Tony/Ziva....but then, when I started watching Life and reading your thought-provoking posts, I realized that Tony and Ziva are actually like Crews and Reese, only with less personal space.
Tony and Ziva have no sense of personal space at all - actually I have no qualms with a Tony/Ziva thing. I think the show itself is hinting that there are feelings there.
Ooh, and what is it your going to do with Tidwell? Throw him off an airlock? I'd be onboard with that!
don't get me wrong: I'd love Tony/Ziva too.....but I'm starting to think that their banter is friendly pushing each other just to see who can have the last word (sort of like Crews asking "anyone ever love you enough to do that?" from 1.01 & "you work together" "if I do that, you kill me" from early s2)
well, whether I write Highland/Life fic or a Highlander/NCIS fic (got both started, though I should finish one), he's going to be one of the casualties.
do we know what Tidwell's first name is? (wonder if he legally changed it from Tid Wells)
a thought: could Tidwell's actions (regarding Dani) be part of a/the conspiracy? so that if she pushes too far in investigating it with Crews, her career gets flushed away as a result - Tidwell is a disposable person in major debt to the guys behind the Conspiracy.
Oh, I get what you mean just that when and if they go that way I'm not adverse to it, just like if Crews/Reese will happen.

Maybe, revelininsanity also floated the theory and well, I hope so that would make sense Conspiracy wise because other wise Tidwell doesn't make sense as a replacement at all. But I'm not getting that vibe at all. If I'm proven wrong then I'm more than happy...
Yes, its what I love about NCIS. It really surprised me how character driven the show is.
Life is an awesome, awesome show. If you liked NCIS I think you'd love Life but I think you should start with the first season where it had a fantastic and coherent story for both characters and plot. If you can get your hands on the original broadcast (with the original music) you will enjoy it a lot more. Season 2 is still fantastic but suffering a little from network meddling (glares at NBC). Hopefully they'll return to status quo before long...
