Work, work and more work...
I just paid off my car this morning. My first actual paid off car ever. Next month will be the first month I have not had to pay a car note in 15 years. Yay! Go me!
Of course GMAC had to go and piss me off. I called to confirm that they had processed my payment. The loan is in my father's name (because I had shitty credit, thanks to the pig dog bastard) but I have made every payment (checks from my account, with my name on them) for the last 5 years. They say they need to talk with him, they can't tell me anything. I tell the guy that I understand his position but if he looks in the records, he will see that I have been making the payments (not my dad) and that my name should be in the account even though I wasn't a co-signer.
He says, "Yes ma'am, I see that you have sent in the payments but thats irrelevant."
Me: "So you can't even tell me if the last payment was processed."
Him: "I'm not telling you anything about the account."
Then he said something about a "next time" and I told him that since the payment I sent today was my payoff, I will not be dealing with them again. There will not be a next time. Seriously, I understand confidentiality and all that but all I wanted was a yes or no about 2Gs coming out of my account.
Going home.
