(no subject)
There are stray cats all over this town.
A momma cat and her kittens(about 4 weeks old) came out into the back yard(for lack of a better word) of our office. She's skittish around humans and she has two ginger kittens and a gray one.
Well, twenty minutes ago I went out the back door to take the mail and the little gray kitten was lying by the wall. Just laying there...
I walked over to it and it moved its head towards the sound but it didn't move away. I looked down the alley, where her momma and siblings usually are and didn't see any of them. I realized that the kittens eyes were sealed shut by.. something. I waffled for a few seconds but picked her up and brought her in. I used a paper towel and warm water and got the gook off her eyes.
I seriously considered keeping her but, she is really too young to be seperated from her momma. Not to mention that she needs a visit to the vet before I could bring her home to the other animals, and the vets office closes at noon on Friday. So, after she could see again, I took her back outside and put her down by the alley.
She scampered off down the narrow alley. I can only assume she went to find her family.
