Brother and Sister were called down the stairs.
The Queen spoke with all her infinite wisdom and endless bounds of affection toward her charges and told them that they would be required to attend to their education. They must learn the ways of the world, so they kissed the Queen and left, hand in hand, for the dark forest outside.
Sister prepared well for the travels, carrying a rucksack filled with treasures. Brother was more practical, stuffing his with food and clothing. They found a small village in which to settle and found a small home built upon a site of magic. When you would open the door to their home, you would walk inside to a beautiful kingdom full of laughter and joy, where sunshine streamed into the windows and the hearth kept you warm. So beautiful was it that Sister refused to leave. Why should she, she asked, when the outside world was cold and barren and sharp and the world inside was so warm and soft and inviting.
One day, Brother devised a plan. He lured Sister out with promise of new treasures to be found. She bundled into her warmest clothes and he led her by the hand to the hired carriage outside. The carriage took them into a town unlike any which she had ever seen. Diamonds dripped from trees and a dusting of crushed pearls flew in the wind, sticking to every surface. It was beautiful and Sister was overjoyed. She realized then that the treasures she desired were less than the ones she had, sitting in the carriage with Brother and watching the beauty outside.
In other words, Jake got tired of me not wanting to leave the apartment so he took me shopping! YAY JAKE!
