I'd doodle more but nobody likes my doodles.

I liked them. Took my mind off other things for a few minutes. Besides, if you keep doodling, and people keep trying to guess what they are supposed to be, maybe, just maybe, they will all be too busy to notice that I am acting...odd, as Dorcas put it.

Oh, that's good. Should I doodle more, then, just for you? Can you hear the mild sarcasm?

You are being sarcastic. I can tell. Must you be sarcastic?

I thought artists only made their art for themselves, not the masses.

Conventional artists make art for themselves.

One would think that after seven years of attending school with you, you would have realised that I never do anything according to the conventional mode.

As an unconventional artist, I make art not for myself or the masses, but for the small percentage of the Hogwarts population as crazy as I am. wait, that's no-one whom I feel would appreciate it. Though, obviously, most of them have turned out to actually not. which is aggravating!

Of course. I should have realized. I blame the upcoming NEWTS for my momentary lapse of what, exactly? Sirius-understanding? No, because I don't think anyone understands you completely. intelligence. It's rather convenient, blaming nearly everything on the NEWTS.

They ought to appreciate it. After all, it's...um...

Cute, yes? I thought it was somewhat appropriate, considering how Charis feels right now.
