We made this casserole earlier in the week, and it was pretty good. There's only the three of us, so we can't eat all of it, and we store the rest. Ho hum de dum.
Cut to today. Mom goes to get some out of the container, and stops.
"Jimmie, when did you put this up?"
"When you told me to, before going to bed. Why? Mold or somethin' already?"
"No. A bug."
"A bug? Lemme see."
I expect, you know, a cricket or a small spider--we're crawling with those right now, with all of the raining going on.

"Is that a bug? What kind is it?"
"...Mom. That's a scorpion. Lookit the tail."
Scorpions must have magical transporting powers that allows them to poof into tupperware dishes holding delicious broccoli, cheese and rice casseroles.
He was still alive, too, after a week in the fridge. We poked him with a fork and he squirmed around. creeeeeepy.
