Gah. The rain has finally stopped. It rained most of Friday, half of Saturday, all Sunday, all Monday, and 'till noon today. We were long over due for a storm, but Sunrise Beach over yonder hill got seven inches of rain. It's still not enough to totally heal everything, 112 counties still have the extreme drought disaster tag. Which is all but two, so...we could use a foot or so.

Early morning (setting troop at 6:40) isn't all that bad, but you're so disoriented afterwards it's crazy. You can't nap after, because that only makes it worse, and staying up the whole time isn't too healthy. I'm stuck.
We finally got the second movement today, and since the Xylo part was craptastic (TWO FRIKKEN MEASURES. That's it), we're stuck on the Marimba 1 part. The guy who re-wrote the piece is a total poohead, I swear. He's forgotten so much stuff and whatever he gave us turned out wrong in a lot of parts.

Anyway, tomorrow is my fifteenth, so I get to wake up and do a little dance. My gifts were Ivan the bass, the amp, and lessons until I move out. I should get my permit tomorrow, so that's a gift to myself.

Oh, yeah, went thrift store shopping today. Got a blue summery suit jacket for summer cosplaying, an awesome blue club shirt, two dresses, and two plain black tees to decorate (one will be Saint Jimmy/Green Day themed, the other a "Libertarian Socialist/Anarchy" shirt). I found a totally cool Godzilla shirt, Steve, but it's probably a little small on me, so I can't send it to ya to wear. It's cool, though.
Catch of the Day was, get this: an entire FFVII: Advent Children Turk outfit. Black suit jacket, black tie, and black slacks that all match and fit perfectly. I think I'm set for September 14th's raiding. ^______^

Anyhoo, Hillary got DDR Max, so I'm going to head over and give her some help. The only song she can get is "I Like To Move It Move It", and as funny as that is (can't stop thinking of Man-Faye when I hear that), I'll try to help her out.

meh. I really should paint my shoes today. I really should.
