Greetings, my fellow students. I would apologize for the recent absence of journal entries on my part but I don't presume anyone actually ever wants to hear any of my garrulous ramblings, and it seems likely that my notorious loquacity of late in your comments more than makes up for the lack of posts ( Read more... )

My pleasure.

Is that more to your liking? I suppose I will refrain from sending you baked goods, as I am aware of your ongoing trauma.
Though perhaps it may be necessary for you to face your fears at some point. Perhaps a slice emblazoned in the sign of the Eldritch Princess would be more curative than the usual?

ok, i think that is really cute even if it is a tentacle monster wearing a wedding dress inside jelly.
HAHAHAHA, no, rose, no.

I suppose it has a few endearing qualities - though as a general rule, anything my mother appropriates into her cruel little ruses should automatically be rejected.

Don't worry, John. I wouldn't be that cruel. I will do my best to send you something else via owl post this summer.

Skype? What muggle sorcery is this?
I'd be happy to meddle in these strange scientific affairs, but I fear that it would be a sausagefest beyond my comprehension.

it is a muggle sorcery where you can talk to people and see them at the same time while they are miles and miles away!
augh.
no, rose. it is not a sausagefest.

I'm only joking, John. I suppose I'll refrain from antagonizing you further, though.

In truth, this "skype" business sounds fascinating; similar communication is possible via the floo network but that tends to be rather uncomfortable, I suppose. I'll subscribe to your odd suggestion, provided you enlighten me to just what is involved in obtaining a computer and setting one up in a house fairly devoid of muggle electricity.

I suppose bending a few laws won't hurt anyone unduly, if I can figure out how to replicate science with magic, or obtain a stable energy source.

ok.
to set up a computer in a house devoid of muggle electricity is to make it have muggle electricity.
it is as simple as that.

I think I have an idea.
I will have to get back to you with other technicalities once I sort out this one minor hurdle.
