I'm not dead! I swear!

Life, it slays me dead, but I have dragged myself up from the deep to make this post. Cuz I miss all of you.

So, some rambling to catch up on all the things I haven't had the time to comment on.

I saw the Avengers (AMAZING!) twice, and have been reading as much fic as I can on my phone during transit to and from work and in the wee hours of the morning. Tony/Bruce is perfection, Clint/Coulson fix-its are my favorite pick-me-ups and the absolute cream of the crop for me, Bucky/Steve. There needs to be so much more of them. I also love Thor/Loki and Natasha/Pepper (two awesome ladies who would be absolutely, terrifyingly efficient together.)

One thing that bothered me, and that no other people seem to have picked up on: There is no way that Steve knew Tony's dad based on the timeline of the films. Not unless Howard was around sixty when he had Tony, and based on the clip we see of him in Iron Man 2, he's in his late thirties/early forties when Tony is around six or so. Assuming Tony is around 35 (even 40 if you want to stretch things) his father would have either not been born by the time Steve crashed HYDRA's plane, or he would have been an infant at most.
Now, I understand that in the comics, the Howard Stark Steve knew was Tony's dad, but people, those comics came out in the 70's. I am simply rearranging my head-canon to make it that the Howard Steve knew was Tony's grandfather, and apparently passed his obsessive need to search for Steve onto his son, Howard II. Has anyone else caught onto this? Is it just me? I'm all for keeping things in line with comic cannon, but it just doesn't work on this one.

I also went to Fanime! Had a great time and finally got some mojo back for drawing! It was a hell of a long six month dry spell, my poor, poor, neglected sketchbook. But I have some new art (hooray!) finally. Anybody else happen to be there? I'm always up for finding people to talk to at cons. :D

Saw MIB 3 (again, awesome!) all those old man jokes had me snickering long after the movie ended. And I can't wait to see Brave! So excited!

And last, but most definitely not least, I should be getting my business license in a couple of months and my baking business will be officially open! *tosses colored sprinkles like confetti* It'll  be a long road, but hopefully I'll stay afloat that first, crucial year and become successful!

That's it for now. I've been away for a while, let me know how you guys are doing! And if anyone has some good fic recs (especially Steve/Bucky) please send 'em my way!
