So these should have been posted a long time ago. As in, I should have posted these in June.
These are my drabbles from the Steve/Danny Last Drabble Writer Standing contest. Sadly I had to drop out because I left the country for a few weeks and had no internet. :(
Anyhow, if anyone remebers these, or didn't get a chance to read them, here they are.
Ratings range from G to NC-17
Title: Ruler Stakes and Salt Circles
Warning(s): none.
Summary: The term ‘surviving high school’ is a lot more literal in Danny’s new school. This never would have happened in Jersey.
Danny isn’t sure how everything came to this, but to be fair, there wasn’t much time to think about it as he’s been doing his best to just live through the night.
He’s trapped in a classroom, the teacher’s desk shoved up against the door as a barrier against the creatures coming after them. He’s back to back with the only other person who’d been able to outrun the things as well, Steve McGarrett, jock extraordinaire.
Funny, how it takes a rising of the undead to get a goofy nerd and a jock to work together, but cliques don’t mean a damned thing when vampires crawl out of the dark and start feasting on kids during a football game. Danny’s got a ruler in his hand, one end sharpened to a point, and Steve managed to snag a can of salt and a jar of crushed garlic from the cafeteria when they ran through it.
If he didn’t know better, he’d say the guy was a little too calm about this. “Why do I get the feeling you’ve done this before?”
Steve glanced away from the door briefly to look at Danny, “You’re one to talk, with your handy little stake.”
“I’m not the one who made us stand in a circle of salt and garlic, now am I?”
They glared at each other, neither willing to give, when the door rattled from something slamming into it, and they both braced themselves for a fight. Danny couldn’t help but feel incredulous at Steve’s raised fists. Was he planning on hand-to-hand fighting a vampire?
“Alright, when we get out of this, you’re going to give me some damned answers.”
Steve shot him a grin, the crazy-ass, “If we live, then I’ll tell you everything you want to know.”
Title: Touches
Warning(s): sexytimes.
Summary: A bet is won.
Steve struggled to stay still, muscles trembling as Danny trailed fingers feather light over his skin. His eyes were closed and his hands were clenching and unclenching into the sheets, breath hitching in aborted whimpers.
There was a huff of breath, a low not-quite laugh that sent a burst of warm air over his lower belly as those wicked fingers danced over his skin, mapping out the hills and valleys of his muscles, dipping into his belly button and brushing over a nipple. He arched his back into the sensation with a groan, only to have it pulled away with another one of those soft laughs and Steve growled as he settled back against the mattress.
Danny hummed happily and Steve had a brief moment to wonder how he managed to make the sound seem smug before a blazing hot trail was licked up from the base of his cock to the tip and he shouted at the feel of it, hips stuttering up for more. It was gone in a flash and he had to bite back a snarl as he forced himself to stay still, muscles tense and skin slick with a sheen of sweat.
Those damned clever fingers were back, tracing patterns on the sensitive skin of his inner thigh, so close to where he wanted them to be, dancing within inches only to retreat again. Another puff of warm air, this time over his balls, and his whole body jerked as the last of his will snapped.
“God, Danny, please! Just-just fucking touch me!”
As soon as he said it, a hot mouth was on his, and those strong hands were everywhere. He opened his eyes to meet Danny’s blues, dark and playful as he grinned wide. “I win.”
Title: Assumptions
Warning(s): Spoilers for the last few episodes.
Summary: Conclusion jumping is a dangerous sport.
"I should have known better."
"You should have asked, that's what you should have done."
"It's just--the thought of you and her, that I was just a placeholder--it hurt."
"So you jumped to the conclusion that not only was I cheating, but that I was helping her cheat as well?"
"Not so much jumping--"
"No, of course not. With you it was probably closer to fighting off all of the sensible conclusions like some kind of possessed ninja, hijacking a plane to fly clear off of common sense ground and then sky bombed your way to one particular conclusion. Am I correct?"
"That's not--"
"Oh, so using every ounce of your rational thinking, you're going to tell me that the only possible explanation for what you saw was that I am secretly the kind of scum I have explained to you-in great detail-that I hate? Really? Do you have any idea what that would do to Grace?"
"Damnit, Danno, it was like seeing one of my biggest fears come to life, okay? That's why I left. Then I asked at the office..."
"I thought that was just a-good God, we're both idiots."
Danny sighed and pulled Steve into a kiss.
Title: Set to Stun
Warning(s): none.
Summary: Steve’s been found out.
Danny was looking far too smug for his own good in Steve’s opinion, what with the wide grin and the way he was eyeballing Steve’s outfit. And the waving hands, those damned waving hands said everything that Danny wasn’t verbalizing.
Steve had been sure no one would find him, and his ‘all-day-meeting-with-the-governor’ excuse had been foolproof. How the hell had Danny found him?
A head of pigtails and a pair of big brown eyes peeked past Danny’s leg and suddenly Steve understood. Of course Grace would get the sudden urge to see what the SciFi convention was all about, and since Steve was out of the office, of course Danny would have jumped at the opportunity to take her. And of course, of course, they would run right into Steve, full costume and all, as he was heading to the Star Trek group picture.
He was never going to live this down, he could see it in Danny’s face, who was looking fit to burst with sheer malicious glee. Danny opened his mouth, and Steve did the only thing he could. He pointed his phaser at Danny and spoke in his most authoritative voice, “Stand down, creature. I come in peace, but I won’t hesitate to fire if you pose a threat.”
Danny twitched, actually twitched, and made a strangled sound before doubling over in laughter. Steve winked at Grace who giggled at their antics. Danny pulled himself back together, wiping his eyes and struggling to get his chuckling under control. “So, where’s the governor? Because she must have had a lot to say about you showing up to your very important meeting dressed like Captain Kirk.”
The smugness was rolling off him in waves now. Grace, bless her sweet little soul, walked up to Steve and tugged his sleeve, “I think you look good, Uncle Steve.”
Steve grinned, “Thanks, Gracie. Have you gotten a chance to look around?”
“Not yet, Danno keeps stopping to look at all the boring stuff”
“Hey!”
Steve savored Danny’s affronted look and pointed to the doorway, “Well, I have to get the rest of the guys,” and to Danny, “we’ll talk later, okay?”
Danny snorted at his escape attempt, waving him away, “You bet we are. Oh, and by the way…” Steve slowly turned back to him, wishing he really could beam himself out of the room, “Your phaser’s still set to stun.”
It was a really fun contest, I hope to try it again, and actually go as far as I can. :D
