I thought I'd post this for the Grima fans as I think you'll get a kick out of it. This is a project I thought of a while back and just recently decided to do it.
So, there's this series of computer games called Dogz and Catz. They're basically virtual petz for your computer. If you're unfamiliar with the petz games, you can check out this entry for a better explanation here:
http://barguestspirit.livejournal.com/13646.html#cutid1Anyway, I've been "hex-editing" or altering the breed files in the game for a while now, just messing around and making different looking virtual dogs. I've seen people hex petz after different characters they liked, and I suddenly got a bizarre inspiration to hex a dog after Grima Wormtongue (because who else would? LOL) So, I opened the great dane file in my program (as the great dane file is probably my favorite to hex with), and after some work, out popped "The Grima Dane"....
LOL, here's the Grima Dane in all his glory. This was my first attempt at hexing hair, I wanted it to be kind of stringy and lanky like Grima's. I used an external texture I made to give him the appearence of his fishnet sleeves and shirt, and used color combos that where Grima-esque. All those spots/patches where done by hand and textured, which took a while but I like how it turned out. He's eyebrowless (of course), and has Grima's beautiful bicolored irises as well. On his hip is a broken heart, meant to symbolize the pain of unrequited love.
Here he is with his knife. I did his necklace out of individual spots or "paintballz" as that was the best way to do it given the intricacy. I also did a version 2, of Grima with his hankie. Hexing a non-descript bit of cloth turned out to be harder than I expected, but I thought it would be really cute. Isn't he adorable?
I had fun hexing a dog after Grima, which probably means I have too much time on my hands, LOL. So now I have the Grima Dane running around my desktop, getting into all sorts of trouble and making me laugh. If you'd like to see some of his adventures, go here:
http://barguestspirit.livejournal.com/14275.html#cutid1I think he's just snuggable.
